Welcome

The Vassalboro Sanitary District is a quasi-municipality consisting of five board members. The non-manned office is located at 275 Cemetery Street, Vassalboro, Maine. The Sanitary District was established in 1972 to construct, maintain, operate and provide a system of sewerage waste disposal for residents and businesses within the villages of East Vassalboro and North Vassalboro. In 2020, the Sanitary District completed an extensive expansion project of the system and collection lines that run from the village of East Vassalboro through the village of North Vassalboro to the Dunbar Road pump station in Winslow. Winslow’s pump station sends all waste across the river to the Kennebec Sanitary Treatment District located in Waterville.  Vassalboro Sanitary District Office
